Creative Idea!

Ever in dire need of an outfit but don't have enough time get on the internet and find one? Here's an idea: Create your own lookbook! Take every single old fashion magazine you own and cut out pictures of pieces and outfits and jewelry then glue them all into a cute little notebook! I'm working on mine tomorrow!! =) This is great to do on a rainy summer day while catching up on DVRed episodes of Army Wives!

PS: Don't forget about those perfume samples! Glue those into your lookbook too, it'll always smell like designer fragrance and put you in a good mood!

Smokey Eyes

LOVING this look. Smokey eyes are my favorite because it's super easy to pull off during the day (with the right colors) and then you just clean it up and make it a little bit darker for night.

Here's the trick: Use black liner first and smudge it, make sure to put it in the corners and water line. Next, go over the liner with a dark charcoal color, make sure it's a slightly shimmery one (You don't want to be Ke$ha, that's for sure, you just want it shimmery enough to really lighten up your eyes). Use a fuller brush to spread the charcoal color into your far corners (make sure to clean it up well if you're going outside of your eyebrow line) and into your crease. Next, use a gold shade and dust it lightly into the inside corners and blend it well with the charcoal. With a blending brush, use small, circular strokes to blend it all together. Add some of the gold to the bottom lid, and a highlight under the brows if desired. Finish with 2 coats of a volumizing mascara (I like Maybelline Falsies and Cover Girl Lashblast Fusion)  clean up any mistakes and you're good to go!

A Favorite

One of my favorite things in the world is polar fleece. Strange, right? But fleece is a staple in the Northwest! Without it, every resident in the greater Seattle area would probably die from hypothermia. We are OBSESSED with North Face, Columbia, Mountain Hardware, any and every clothing company that creates good quality fleece jackets.

Here's the trick: Have a fitted one, have a larger one for layering, have a colorful one and make sure you have a black one! Also, if you have pets, be sure to buy a lent roller for every room.

Health Tip of the Day: Hydration

You've heard it a million times 'drink water because it's good for you'. Well, not only is it good for you and necessary for normal functioning-if makes you FEEL good! Your body's main component is water, so why would you not replenish the fluids it uses during the day?

Here's the trick: Buy a Gatorade water bottle ($3.99 at your local Big5) and drink 3 of them a day. They are cheap and heavy duty, you can beat the crap out of it and it'll still work right! It's a 32 ounce bottle of awesomeness, I'm kind of obsessed. I own 3 of them- I recommend owning at least 2! They don't leak, and they don't have an annoying top that you have to open and close. Also, you'll look legit because all college athletes have them (write your name on the cap and you'll look even more legit!) Happy drinking! ; )

For Sara

My dear sister in-law often asks me to come up with outfits for her to post on her blog. I am her 'personal shopper and stylist'. I figured as long as I am coming up with outfits for her, I can post them on here while I work on getting my own pictures and outfits up. It may take some time, but I will get things going!! So here we go with Sara's outfit:

It is fun, flirty and perfect for her upcoming summer in Mississippi, which will soon be her new home. I love this skirt because it has an old-fashioned elegance but is still casual enough for any occasion with the cute tie in front. I do not have a picture available, but I suggested pairing this with an off-white cotton ruffle tank top. With a simple ruffle cascading down the front, it's simplicity is not out-shown by the pattern on the skirt.

Amazing shoes will take any outfit from amazing to SUPER AMAZING! And who can resist that level of amazing?? I love the knotted detail of these. They go perfectly with the skirt and would also look super cute with some dark boot cut jeans. Versatile sandals are a staple!

...Because I'm a whore for accessories. A lady can't go wrong with a cute headband!
More to come!
